Malika Amar Shaikh, Marathi poet and author of the searing autobiography I want to Destroy Myself, has had an eventful life.

How did your unique childhood and upbringing influence you?
My childhood was a wild fairytale.
Since I was the youngest and a sickly child, I used to be taken extra care of. The Saat Rasta house was an ideal home. Greenery, a spacious hall, a huge gallery, rehearsals, poetry, music and discussions around them would fill the house.
